CHANEL Ombres Contraste Duo Noir-Ivoire (Holiday 2011) Review and Swatch

Ombres Contraste Duo eyeshadow ($42.00) proves that Chanel can make a decent eyeshadows when they want. What is really funny is that this shades look worse on the photos than in the real life (it is opposite with the mono eyeshadows).

These two shades were swatched with just a light swipe of finger (the mono eyeshadows were packed on for the swatch).

CHANEL Holiday 2011 Lip Products Review and Swatches

Last week I’ve been bored so I’ve decided to do some swatches and some at-the-counter testing of Chanel Holiday 2011 Collection. I haven’t managed to check all, but this post encompasses all the eyeshadows and the lip products.

I’ve taken the liberty to write the reviews based on my first impression because I believe that if I wasn’t impressed with the product at the counter, I probably won’t change my opinion later.

The products on the top picture are placed in this order. Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss in Triomphal, Rouge Allure Laque in Empire, Rouge Allure in Famous and Enviree, Glossimers in Sweet Beige and Sparkle d’Or.

CHANEL Ombre Essentielle Soft Touch Eyeshadow in Beige Lame and Blazing Gold (Holiday 2011) Review and Swatch

Ombre Essentielle Soft Touch Eyeshadow ($28.50) is available in two shades. You should note that both shades look better on the swatch picture than in the real life. I swatched them as I usually swatch the powdery products – with my fingers. These are definitely the most disappointing items in the collection.

GUERLAIN Belle de Nuit (Holiday 2011) Collection Preview

I absolutely love it. When (and if) it comes to Croatia, I’m definitely getting Meteorites, Pressed Powder and Vol de Nuit Shimmer. I’m only worried because the last two collections haven’t arrived yet and the last year’s Holiday collection arrived in January.
