Chanel Illusion d’Ombre is the new line of Chanel eyeshadows launched with Fall 2011 line. These will become a part of a permanent line and will be replacing Chanel Ombre d’Eau (stock up on these if you like them).
It seems that I’m becoming quite a Chanel addict. As Guerlain summer collection has yet to come to the counters in Croatia (not to mention Rouge Automatique launch and Guerlain Fall – these collections will probably come right before Christmas )I have taken the only available thing – Chanel.
Although I haven’t planned on purchasing Illusion d’Ombre eyeshadows, the on-line swatches changed my mind. Today, I got Illusion d’Ombre in the shade 85 Mirifique. The complete review will follow tomorrow or in a couple of days.
I’ll use this post to add my first impressions on the collection, based only on what I have swatched at the counter.
This fall, Guerlain is revamping their eyeshadow quads, introducing the new Ecrin 4 Couleurs eyeshadows (If you like some shade from the current Ombre 4 Eclats line, I suggest you to stock up, as they will probably be discontinued). They will also add new shades to Rouge G line, as well as introduce new eyeliners.
I have officially gone bankrupt. It is very rare that a collection impresses me so much, that I want to have almost everything, but Chanel managed.

I absolutely love the eyeshadow quad, lipglosses and cream eyeshadows. I think that I might fall in love with the blush, but I’m not so sure about the lip product as they seem a bit washed out.
There are also 3 amazing nail polishes. You have all heard about Graphite, but my favourite is Peridot.
The collection contains:
Illusion d’Ombre cream eyeshadows in 6 shades
Joues Contraste blush in Rose Ecrin
Les 4 Ombres in Prelude
Le Crayon Yeux in Khaki Platine
Levres Scintillantes lipgloss in Pampille and Braise
Crayon Levres lip liner in Rose Cuivree and Coralline
Rouge Coco lipstick in Plumetis and Etole
Le Vernis nail polish in Graphite, Peridot and Quartz
