INGLOT Matte Eyeshadow M352 Review and Swatch

This is the second eyeshadow from my palette.

M352 is a matte light pink. It is very pigmented and the colour in the pan is true to the colour on the skin. I use it mostly on the browbone as a highlight.

The texture is a bit on the drier side (this is typical for matte eyeshadows), especially compared to P393, but it doesn’t affect the application. There is no fallout.

The wear of the eyeshadow is very good, too. It lasts for 10 hours without creasing (with the primer).

So far, I’m happy with every single Inglot eyeshadow I have and I’d definitely recommend them.

INGLOT Pearl Eyeshadow P393 Review and Swatch

Several months ago, I have picked my first Inglot shadows for a palette. I’ve bought 3-shadows square palette and got 2 light shadows to use all-over-the-lid or like a highlighter.

P393 looks like the pearly peach in the pan. The eyeshadow goes on pigmented, but the problem is that on the skin it looks more like a frosty white with a hint of peach. While this is not quite what I was looking for, I’m still satisfied since now I finally have a pearly eyeshadow to use in the inner corners of the eyes.

The texture of the eyeshadow is buttery soft, there is no fallout.

As for the wear – I’m happy with it. I have very oily lids, so I didn’t test it without a primer, but when worn with the primer (Essence), I got 10 hours of wear without creasing. For me, it’s more than enough.

In general, I’m very happy with Inglot eyeshadows and I hope my collection of that brand will grow.

INGLOT NAil Enamel in #207 Review and Swatch

I have purchased this nail polish a couple of months ago when Inglot had 20% off sale. I think it’s retail price was $8. The bottle contains 8ml.

The shade #207 is a gold glitter suspended in a transparent base. However, depending on the angle, the gold glitter has a slightly holographic qualities – its colour flashes from yellowish orange to turquoise green.

The glitter is not very dense – one coat gives a speck of glitter here and there. In the swatch below I have applied 5 coats.

Also, like any other glitter nail polish, it is pain to remove. I usually remove it by soaking up a bit of cotton in the polish remover, putting it on the nail, wrapping it with aluminium foil and after a minute or two removing the foil together with the cotton and the nail polish.

I won’t comment on how long it lasts, because every nail polish on me lasts for a couple of days without the top coat.

There is also a silver version of this polish (#201), but Croaian girls wmay be interested in knowing that Smart Girls Get More have a similar nail polish (can be bought in DM drugstore).

INGLOT 7FS Brush

The prime reason I have purchased this brush is because the slanded shape reminded me of Sisley Eyeshadow Brush and I have hoped that  I’ll save some money, but now that I have both, they cannot compare.

Inglot 7FS brush is far from bad, but it is completely different.

7FS is made of squirrel hair and the handle is wood. It is very soft, but the hairs are not too dense. Now that I have it for some time, I’d say that it is more similar to Studio Basic Blending Brush, but Inglot has shorter hairs.

I prefer to use this brush as a blending brush or to apply a sheer wash of colour. The brush doesn’t pick up too much pigment. I’ve tried with various brands – from Sisley and Guerlain to Inglot and Urban Decay and, no matter how much eyeshadow I pack on the brush, I always end up with just a wash of colour.

I like the shape, it is slightly slanted so this brush is perfect for applying the shade all over the lid with one swipe.

I paid approximately $17, which is not too high for a good brush. I have washed it several times and the brush didn’t shed at all.

Overall, I like it, but it is not as multi-function as I have hoped.

INGLOT Matte Eyeshadow M353 Review and Swatch

Inglot Matte Eyeshadow in M353 was my all-over-lid eyeshadow after finishing Sisley Vanilla. This was my first Inglot eyeshadow, so I have purchased it in a compact pan, rather than refill pan for the pallete. The compact it comes in has a twist-off cap, which is transparent on the top. The retail price vary, depending on the country, but in Croatia it retails for around $12 and you get 2 grams.

The colour is light beige-vanilla. Compared to Sisley Vanilla, Inglot is 100% matte. The swatches I have made are so-so because the colour is very close to my complexion and it isn’t very visible.

I use it with an eyeshadow base (currently Essence Made to Stay, which isn’t very good) and it stays on without creasing for over 9 hours. That’s very good, in my opinion.

What surprised me is the texture of the eyeshadow. When I applied it with my Studio Basic Blending Brush, the shadow appeared very powdery and there was a lot of fallout. After I have switched to Inglot FS7 Brush, it applied like a dream and there was no extra powder fallout all over the pan. Weird, because Studio Basic Brush has no such a problems in applying any other eyeshadow. However, Inglot Brush seems much softer, so this is probably the reason for no fallout.

Overall, I’m really happy with it. It is a great and cheap choice for all-over lid colour.

INGLOT Nail Enamel #304 Swatch and Review

Inglot Nail Enamel comes in a 15ml bottle and it retails for approximately $12 (In Croatia). It is cheaper in the US (like everything else, lol).

#304 is a medium dark warm bright pink with lots of gold shimmer. Under certain angles, it almost looks like it has pearl finish. Colour-wise, I’d say it is a close cousin of Chanel Le Vernis in Morning Rose, but Morning Rose has bigger shimmer and tiny flakes. Also, the base of Morning Rose is jelly like, while Inglot #304 is slightly pearlescent.

The nail polish formula is very thin, but surprisingly pigmented. However, I’d still use two coats for a full opacity. Since it has some pearlescent qualities, under a certain angles it might look a bit streaky, but if the sun falls down directly on the nail polish, the streakiness is not visible.

I never comment on how long the nail polish lasts on my nails, because absolutely every nail polish chips after a day or two (it must be because of my nails). Essence top coat manages to prolong my manicure to 5 days.

This is such a summery shade that invites the pictures of sun and sand and it will definitely be one of my staples this summer.

INGLOT Face Blush #27 Review and Swatch

I’ve been wanting to expand my blush collection for some time, so the 20% off Inglot sale was very welcome. However, I didn’t count on not so good array of shades when it comes to the blush – either the blushes are matte dirty pink or brown shades or they have huge glitter. In the end I have picked up Face Blush in the shade #27. The blush comes in a round pan with a twist-off transparent cover.

The blush contains 2,5 grams and this was one of the decising factors as I don’t want to hoard too much and I had to take into account the fact that it took me several years to hit the pan on my Dior blush which has 7,5 grams. Since the amount of blush is very small, I can see myself finishing this reasonably quickly. In Croatia the blush retails for 75 kunas (approximately $13 or 10 euros).

#27 is a matte dirty reddish pink. It is very dark in the pan – almost dirty red and I was a bit concerned with how it will turn out on me. On the skin it is more pink, but with noticeable red undertones.

The blush is very pigmented, but it blends easily. Since I’m used to less pigmented blushes, I still have to learn the right way to apply it. So far, I prefer to apply it only on the cheek apples and not all along the cheeks (to avoid the 80′s look). The blush is blends easily, but if you’re not used to such pigmented blushes, it might be awhile until you learn to apply it the best way.

Once applied, the blush stays on through the day – I haven’t noticed any fading or colour-changing.

I only have a slight issue with the texture of this blush. The texture is soft, but the blush is very powdery and everytime I pass over the blush with the brush, there is a lot of fallout and a lot of wasted product.

Overall, I’m really satisfied with this blush. I would appreciate if Inglot were to expand the shade range and maybe add more finishes.

INGLOT, BY KILIAN and YVES SAINT LAURENT Haul

Somebody, please stop me!

Lately, I’ve been splurging a lot on cosmetics. However, I’m minimizing my guilt by actually spending some products.

This week I have purchased Yves Saint Laurent Teint Parfait complexion perfector/primer in the shade #4 Apricot on for 30% off. According to the SA, this will either be discontinued or they will change the packaging, so I’m considering getting some other colours.

I have succumbed again to my by Kilian addiction. This time I got Cruel Intentions. I’m officialy banning myself from buying any perfume until my birthday.

I have visited Inglot and since they were having 20% off of everything, I’ve had a hard time controling myself. In the end I have purchased a nail polish #304 (gorgeous pearly pink), a matte eyeshadow #353 (ivory) and a blush #27.

NOTD: L.A. Girl in Garnet + Inglot #202

If you love nail polish, you certainly know about one of the legends of the nail polish world: Clarins #230. It is a multicoloured shimmer suspended in the purplish-red base. Depending on the angle, the colour goes from red, yellowish and orange to green. I have fallen in love with this nail polish the moment I saw it. The polish has been long time discontinued, but it is still possible to find bottles on the eBay for insane amount of money. I’m still not into giving $60+ for a nail polish bottle, no matter how pretty it is, but I wanted to find something which could capture the rainbow colour-changing ability of Clarins.

The combination of L.A Girl nail polish and Inglot is certainly very as far from the proper dupe as you can get – after all, Inglot is flaky nail polish, while Clarins is shimmery; however, the combination has a slightly similar captivating ability to change colours.

For this reason, I have decided to put this combination as my first proper NOTD (nail of the day).

INGREDIENTS:

L.A. Girl Nail Lacquer in Garnet

Inglot Nail Enamel in #202

Put two coats of L.A. Girl polish in Garnet. Then layer with one or two coats of Inglot #202. I have used two coats, to get enough flakes to cover the nail.

Depending on the angle, the polish will go from red to orange and deep green. It looks very effective and very eye catching. Instead of L.A. Girl in Garnet, you could probably use any burgundy red shimmering nail polish, because the key is in the opalescent flakes. The flakes can be duped with any flaky polish – the most important is that the flakes in the bottle change colour from orange to green.

INGLOT Nail Enamel #202 Swatch and Review

#202 is a warm opalescent flaky Inlgot nailpolish. The bottle has 8ml and it retails for cca $8.

While I love the opalescent effect it gives, I cannot say that I’m overly too happy with its quality. You need at least two coats to get a true opalescent effect. It is amazing as a top-coat, but other problems with it makes me wonder if it is worth it.

The brush is clumsy to use – with this polish I always make a mess of my nails.

There is also a problem with removing it – it is almost impossible to take it of. I have soaked my nails in the nail-polish remover, but I still couldn’t completely take off all the polish.

Overall:
