My Summer Skincare Routine

skincare routine 2014 summer

Hello lovelies,

I hope you are enjoying this nice summer weather. I certainly do :)

However, summer also means it is a time for a skin-care routine switch. Since I’ll be spending a lot of time outside in the sun (even with sunscreen), this means that I have to quit using acids and retinol (they make the skin photosensitive) until the late fall. This also means using creams that are not as rich as those in my winter routine, as well as exfoliating more often to properly remove sunscreen.

skincare routine 2014 summer 1

The first part of my routine is pretty similar to the winter one – it consists of cleansers and masks.

The first product on the photo is Clinique Mild Clarifying lotion. I did mention that I am avoiding acids during summer, but this one has such a low concentration that I’m using it now and then. Since the acid is weak, I don’t get exfoliating benefits.

At the moment, I’m using La Roche Possay Effaclar cleanser. I’ve been using it for half a year and so far I like it, although I might be tempted to try something else once it is finished. It works well for what it is – it cleanses my skin without stripping it too much – after all it is intended for oily skin.

In the centre is Freeman Avocado & Oatmeal Clay Mask. I’m not too happy with it. It is a nice mask, but the scent is overwhelming and irritating.

Bioderma Sebium exfoliator is my staple – this is the second time I’ve repurchased it and I plan to repurchase it again. It perfectly removes the dead skin cells, at the same time not being too irritating.

Sisley Floral Toning Lotion is the best (and the most expensive) toner I’ve ever used.

skincare routine 2014 summer 2

After I’ve received a deluxe sample ser as a GWP, I’ve decided to completely stick to Caudalie routine and to test all the products from Polypehnol C15 range simultaneously. I plan to write a more thorough review soon, but after using it for two weeks I have to say that I like the whole collection.

In the evening after cleansing I apply Polyphenol C15 Eye Contour Cream on the eye area and two to three drops of Polyphenol C15 Serum on the face. After five minutes (once the serum has sunk in) I apply Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet. Once or twice a week I apply several drops of Polyphenol C15 Overnight Detox Oil.

In the morning I apply a couple drops of Polyphenol C15 Serum and follow with Polyphenol C15 Anti-Wrinkle Protect Fluid SPF20. If I plan to spend some time outside, I apply additional sunscreen (at the moment I’m finishing up Uriage Tinted Sunscreen).

This routine doesn’t make my skin perfect (I don’t think there’s anything that could help with my pores), but it helps with dehydration and flaky skin. Also, it doesn’t break me out and leaves my skin pretty much clear.

Do you switch your skincare in summer?

xoxo Tamara

MAY 2014 Empties

may empties

Hello lovelies,

it’s again that time of the month when I show you my beauty trash bin. When it comes to empties, it doesn’t bother me that this month wasn’t the greatest because I can tell that June will be better.

Let’s start with the hair products.

may empties hair

I’m not really impressed with Matrix Biolage Hydrasource shampoo (2x) and conditioner (2x). The shampoo is ok (but only ok) while the conditioner did nothing for my hair. I’ve cut my hair recently, but my ends are still dry; however, the conditioner did nothing to help. It was as if I didn’t put anything on. I won’t be repurchasing it.

Schauma shampoo is nothing special, too.

I am a bit more satisfied with Redken Diamond Oil shampoo. I’m sad that I don’t have more samples, because these two weren’t enough for me to see how it performs, but the shampoo has a potential. once I’m done with Kerastase, I might repurchase full size.

However, I absolutely love Redken Diamond Oil conditioner. It is amazing – super creamy and moisturizing for my hair. My ends look much smoother and shinier whenever I use this. You can really feel that it moisturizes the hair. This is a definite repurchase.

may empties face

I’ve decided to start a new skin-care regime this June to properly test Caudalie Polyphenol range, but before starting it, I wanted to use up some samples.

I don’t think I’ll repurchase Bioderma Sebium Serum. It has a lightweight formula, with some acids added, but I didn’t feel like it actually does something for my skin

Sisley Floral Toning Lotion is great and I dread the day when I’m out of these mini bottles – at the moment I’m not willing to shell out $100+ on a full size.

Caudalie Vinosource Sorbet is a lightweight moisturizer. I think it would be best suited for oily to combination skin as I don’t think it does a lot for dehydrated parts of my skin. However, I’ll hold my judgment for a while and give more thorough review after using up another mini sample.

Caudalie Make-Up Remover Cleansing Water is Caudalie’s take on micellar waters. I don’t think it is a bad product, but I certainly had better. It removes light, non-waterproof makeup, but I would not trust it to remove heavy make-up. I don’t think I’ll repurchase it; I still prefer Bioderma.

may empties body

Yves Rocher Jardins du Monde Tiare Flower is one of my favourite shower gels. I think that the fact that I’ve repurchased it twice tells enough. It is affordable, smells nice and mild for the skin.

Bvlgari Mon Jasmin Noir is not my favourite take on jasmine, but it is still a nice everday scent. However, I don’t think I’ll repurchase it.

Givenchy Absolutely Irresistible is an ok fragrance, but nothing worth repurchasing.

Ferre Ferre fragrance is another nice everyday scent which I don’t think I’ll repurchase it. I need to add that I’m very particular about the scents I wear and, with the exception of Lidl’s Suddenly Madame Glamour I prefer stronger scents – I like strong notes of tiare, jasmine, oud, vanilla and violet.

Caudalie Thé des Vignes shower gel is a nice, scented shower cream. It doesn’t later well and it is exceptionally mild for the skin so I think it might be well suited for those with sensitive skin (if you can handle the scent). I have repurchased another Caudalie shower gel and I might purchase this one again, too.

FINISHED! December Editon

finished december all

Hello dear readers,

first I would like to wish you all happy new year. I hope that all your wishes will come true and that every day of the new 2013 will be fulfilled, that you’ll live every day like your last and that you won’t regret anything and you’ll look forward to good things to come.

I know that in my November edition I have promised many more finished products, but December is even more of a fail than November. I guess it seems that January will be perfect.

Also, January will be the month when I (hopefully) will finally get a DSLR camera. The store in which I planned to buy it obviously isn’t interested in selling (weird, because they are Canon importers) and, as far as my experience goes, has a poor customer service, so I’m looking for another (probably cheaper) store.

Anyway, I’m planning on publishing 2012 favourites this week and the next week you can expect the photos of my collection. You’ll also see the round-up of my so called „low buy“ (yeah, right).

Without further delaying, here are the items spent in December:

MAKE-UP (Šminka):

finished december makeup

SISLEY Skinleya #20 foundation sample (2ml) . A light coverage foundation which I use in combination with Phyto Teint Eclat to get the correct shade for my skin. - Tekući puder s laganim prekrivanjem kojeg koristim u kombinaciji s Phyto Teint Eclat da bih dobila točnu nijansu.

SISLEY Phytocernes + Concealer #2 sample (0,5 ml). A concealer which I have used in combination with Effacernes, to dilute it and to get the correct shade. - Korektor kojeg koristim u kombinaciji s Effacernes korektorom kako bih ga razrijedila i kako bih dobila točnu nijansu.

SKINCARE (Njega kože):

finished december skincare

BIODERMA Sebium H2O micelle solution (250 ml). An excellent make-up remover which I’m tempted to buy (and I probably will after I spend Sisley Eau Efficace). Considering the amount, it has lasted a long time. – Odličan odstranjivač šminke kojeg ću vjerojatno ponovno kupiti nakon što potrošim Sisley Eau Efficace. S obzirom na količinu, odstranjivač je trajao puno duže nego što sam to očekivala.

SISLEY Hydraflash mask sample (4 ml). A nice pick-me up for my winter-dehydrated skin. – Dobra maska za oporavak kože dehidrirane zbog hladnoće i suhog zraka.

BIODERMA Sebium Hydra cream sample (5ml) . Plain basic moisturizer. I probably won’t repurchase. – Obična hidratantna krema. Vjerojatno ju neću ponovno kupiti.

SISLEY Sisleya Eye Contour Cream sample (2 ml). An excellent eye contour cream, but too pricey for what I get (+ the full size comes in a jar). – Izvrsna okoloočna krema, ali puno puno preskupa.

SISLEY All Day All Year sample (10 ml). A very good day cream, althought I don’t trust the alleged SPF much. – Vrlo dobra dnevna krema, iako se ne pouzdajem previše u navodni zaštitni faktor.

SISLEY Sisleya Radiance Concentrate sample (3 ml). The perfect serum for my skin, but I think that SVR Clarial is a bit better. – Savršeni serum za moju kožu, ali mislim da je SVR Clarial ipak mrvicu bolji.

FRAGRANCE (Parfemi):

finished december fragrance

MOSCHINO Light Clouds EdT sample. Unremarkable. – Ništa posebno.

MOSCHINO Funny! EdT sample . Unremarkable. – Ništa posebno.

MOSCHINO Toujours Glamour EdT sample. The best fragrance from the Moschino line, although it isn’t something special. – Najbolji Moschinov parfem, iako ni on nije ništa posebno.

DSQUARED She Wood EdT sample. To my nose rose is prevalent, but it is grounded by something woody. Interesting. – Parfem u kojiem prevladava ruža prizemljena drvenastom bazom. Zanimljivo.

LA PRAIRIE Silver Rain Shimmer Mist sample. It smells expensive, but something just doesn’t agree with my nose. – Miriši skupo, ali nešto u parfemu mi ne odgovara.

BY KILIAN Beyond Love. Indeed, it is beyond love, it is perfection. My absolute favourite. Idiot me didn’t purchase the big bottle. – I više od ljubavi, to je savršenstvo. Moj najdraži parfem. Glupa ja nije kupila veliku bočicu kad je mogla.

And that would be all. Thank you for reading and enjoy the rest of your holidays :)

Love, Tamara

I to bi bilo sve. Hvala vam na čitanju i uživajte u praznicima :)

Voli vas, Tamara

BIODERMA Sebium Hydra Moisturizing Cream Review

bioderma sebium hydra

During the last month I’ve been using Bioderma Sebium Hydra moisturizing cream. According to the pharmacist, this cream should moisturize skin without making it too greasy. I haven’t purchased the full-size, but the pharmacist gave me several 5ml samples to try.

The cream has a very thick consistency, but it isn’t greasy. It spread easily, but I need to use quite a lot for my face. It has a very mild scent which shouldn’t bother anyone.

My skin is oily and dehydrated with huge pores. As for the efficiency on my skin, I find the cream okay. It helped (to some extent) with dehydration, but my skin needs much more moisture in the winter. From what I can notice, the cream hasn’t clogged my pores or caused any breakouts.

Since it didn’t make my skin greasy, I think this might be a nice solution for late spring or summer.

Proteklih mjesec dana koristila sam Bioderma Sebium Hydra hidratantnu kremu.

FINISHED! October Edition

This October was really productive. The stars have aligned and I have managed to spend several make-up full sizes, including a mascara. I’m really happy for it because I got a bunch of skincare this month too, so this balances it out. I’m also waiting an Oriflame order, so this will mean a bunch of new stuff, too.

As I have mentioned several times, this year I’m planning on getting a decent camera around Christmas. I’m currently taking photos with a 12 year old digital camera and I really need an upgrade. I really hope that I’d be able to get a decent DSLR for under $1000.

I’m also saving to get the driver’s licence in spring. As far as I know, getting the licence in Croatia costs around $1500 (if you don’t fail). I had no need for it because there is a good system of public transportation where I live, plus I hate driving, but many jobs require having a licence, so I think it is a high time I get one as soon as possible.

These are the reasons why I probably won’t buy much in December – I’m considering getting either Chanel or Guerlain holiday eyeshadow quad, maybe Guerlain Liu palette and some MAC product if I go to Vienna or Budapest (where the closest stores are).

But, no more talking about purchases – let’s see the items I’m saying „Goodbye“ to.

Oriflame Wonder Lash Intense Mascara. This is a nice mascara that separates the lashes well, but doesn’t do much for the volume. I won’t repurchase it.

Oriflame Visions Fresh Face Foundation in Lindsay and Lucy (sample). This foundation was discontinued a long time ago, but I have found the samples and I couldn’t resist to try it. It smells awkward. The coverage is medium, but the foundation is not longwearing. It blends nicely into the skin.

Chanel Rouge Allure Laque in Santal. Well, it was about time to say „Goodbye“ to Rouge Allure Laque. This lipstick is very pigmented – only one thin coat is enough for a complete opacity. Santal is my perfect nude shade.

Sisley Instant Perfect Primer (sample). A lovely primer. I already have the full-size.

Oriflame Studio Artist Foundation. For the price, this was a very good foundation. The coverage is light to medium and it gives a healthy skin glow effect.

Guerlain Kiss Kiss Baby in Rosy Nude. One of the best tinted lip balms ever. A shame that they are discontiuned.

Benefit High Beam (GWP). At first I admit that I wasn’t a fan of High Beam, but when I started using it more intensely, I liked it a lot. Since Benefit is no longer available in Croatia, I’ll have to find something similar.

Sisley Eye Contour Mask (sample). An excelent mask – a saviour for the dehydrated eye-area.

Sisley Soapless Facial Cleansing Bar. It took me almost a year and a half to spend one bar, by using it once per day, plus once per week as a brush cleanser. I love it – it cleanses skin (although it doens’t remove make-up) without drying it out.  I’m already using a back-up.

Decleor Aroma Solutions Nutri Smooth Lipstick. A nice lip balm, but I think I’m ready for a change.

Sisley Floral Toning Lotion (GWP). Excellent toner.

Bioderma Sensibio Eye Cream. A very nice starter eye cream, but I feel that I need more moisture than Bioderma offers.

Sisley Lyslait (GWP). Excellent cleanser.

Sisley Tropical Resins Complex (sample). A nice mattifying moisturizer – leaves me matte without being too drying on my skin during summer. In fall, it becomes slightly too drying.

Sisley Hydraglobal (sample). A nice summer moisturizer. It is not moisturizing enough for drier skin types.

Sisley Global Perfect Pore Minimizer (sample). Works good as a primer underneath the make-up, but it is nothing special on its own.

Declaré Hydro-energy Cream. A nice moisturizer. Possible repurchase.

Oriflame Perfect Body Anti-Cellulite Scrub. The worst scrub ever. This, in fact, is a salt mixed with mineral oil and some fragrance. Whenever I’d use it, my skin would be irritated by the salt and the bath-tub would be completely greasy. I’m really not in the mood for scrubing the bath-tub every time I use it.

Moschino I Love Love EdT (sample). Unremarkable.

Yves Rocher Jardins du Monde Fleur de Tiare Shower Gel. A nice, moisturizing shower gel.

Nivea Long Repair Shampoo (GWP). A decent shampoo but I probably won’t repurchase.

I’ve also thrown out three nail polishes: Catrice limited edition in En Vogue, Carla Cosmetics and Rimmel Grape Sorbet. Catrice is a horribly thick and quickly chipping mess, Carla Cosmetics is super sheer and gritty and Rimmel is dried out.

What products have you spent recently? Please share in the comments.

Thank you for reading.

P.S. My 500th post :)

BIODERMA Sebium H2O Micelle Solution Ingredients and Review

I have received a 250ml bottle of Bioderma Sebium Micelle Solution with the purchase of Sebium cream. 250ml bottle is the medium sized one – there also exist a bigger, 500 ml bottle and one smaller. As far as I can remember, 250 ml costs around $13.

Bioderma has two varieties of micelle solution: Sensibio (for sensitive skin) and Sebium (for oily skin). I was a bit worried that, since my version is for oily skin, it would be too drying, but it wasn’t.

Ever since I’ve tried it, micelle solution is my favourite method for removing make-up. It takes off the layers of foundation and powder, eyeshadow, mascara and eyeliner without irritating my eyes. Keep in mind that I don’t generally use waterproof make-up, but I’ve started applying Chanel Illusion d’Ombre mixed with Inglot Duraline, which makes the make-up longwearing.

Micelle solution is a transparent liquid, with light scent, which looks like a water. The scent is barely there, but don’t get it in your mouth, because the taste is horrible.

I’ve been using it almost daily for two and a half months and there’s a bit more than half left, although at first it didn’t seem as if it would last for so long.

My only problem is the packaging – it comes in a flip top bottle and I think that it would be easier to dispense it if it contained a pump. As it is now, I sometimes have a hard time not to overspill it.

In spite of this, I’ll continue to use micelle solutions, although I may explore other brands.

BIODERMA Sebium Exfoliating Purifying Gel Review and Ingredients

Another HG product.

I’ve been using Sisley Scrub prior to Bioderma, but Sisley was a bit too messy and complicated to use. I had to wait for several minutes to dry out and if the air was a slightly bit humid, it would take an eternity for it to dry. I won’t even mention the messy scrubbing of the exfoliator off. All in all, even if it was a very good product, it was much too high a maintenance for me.

Bioderma Sebium Exfoliator comes in a huge 100 ml tube and it is pretty cheap. Here, it costs around $12, but since Bioderma often offers promos, you can get it even cheaper.

It is both mechanical and a light chemical exfoliator. The mechanical exfoliation is done by tiny polyethylene beads, while glycolic acid does a light chemical exfoliation. There is a lot of exfoliating beads inside, so I can be sure that they’ll do a proper scrubbing.

I apply it on slightly damp, cleansed skin, scrub for around 2 minutes and then leave it on the face while I’m taking a bath (so that the glycolic acid can do its magic). After the bath/shower I wash the exfoliator off.

The result is perfectly cleansed, even skin without irritation.

I sometimes use it as a body scrub too and it works (although I find it a bit too expensive to use it that way).

Until my skin changes and starts demanding something else, I’ll continue to use it.

FINISHED! July Edition

First, I’d like to thank all the readers who are reading and following my blog. i have to admit that I’ve been so busy and yesterday I have realized that the second year of blogging has finished.

I would like to thank you for your support :)

I’ve been looking back on my older posts and it is funny how one changes oneself through the period of time.

Reviewing some of not-so-widely known brands was one of reasons for which I have started blogging, and while this still remains true, some of my attitude towards blogging has changed.

I remember how much stuff I have accumulated during my first year as a beauty blogger. I would often find myself in the store purchasing something thinking „I really don’t need it, but I would like to review it on my blog“ and ending up with the product which wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t something I really needed.

As the time flies, I realize that I have changed my attitude towards make-up and cosmetics in general. Today, I have a much clearer perception of what I want and need and what I do not. I’m more focused on purchasing essentials and products that will work for me, rather than purchasing something that has a gorgeous packaging (although I may cave in from time to time).

It seems that I less and less willing to settle for the second best. However, the quest for THE product lasta a long time. I’ve been hunting THE blush for a year and I have yet to narrow the choice down (this is what lists are for). Luckily, this means that I have enough time to finish with the products I already have.

So, without further rambling, here are the products I have spent this month

BIODERMA Sebium AKN Purifying Correcting Care Review

I’ve been using this cream for quite some time – in fact, I have finished it a couple of days ago, so I decided that it is high time for me to write a review.

Bioderma Sebium AKN Purifying Correcting Care cream comes in a 30ml tube and retails for around $16. I have bought mine when thtey had it in the set with Sebium Micellar Solution and at the same time got 20%off, so I got quite a deal (just micellar water costs around $13).

The cream promises to clean out the pores and  minimize the production of sebum without drying the skin out. It sounds like a miracle but it doesn’t perform so miraculosly.

The cream has a very light, almost gel-like texture and light smell, which disappears immediately upon application. A little goes a long way. I needed approximately a pea-sized amount to cover the whole face.

I haven’t noticed any noticeable difference in clogged pores and the production of sebum. My skin has improved, but I can’t say that this is strictly because of this cream.

However, I have to admit one thing – this cream won’t dry out your skin. I have dehydrated, but oily skin and soem creams really can make my skin flaky. It was not the case with Bioderma. It didn’t put additional moisture on my skin (but it isn’t supposed to do this), but my skin was never dry, dehydrated or felt tight.

You can apply it under make-up. I haven’t noticed that it prolongs the wear of make-up (but even if I put make-up on my naked face, it will last for at least 8 hours), but it doesn’t interferes with foundation.

Overall, I liked the cream, but I’m not sure about repurchase. There is also Bioderma Sebium Hydra cream which should moisturize. I have 5ml sample and I’d like to test this version prior to repurchasing Sebium AKN.

FINISHED! June Edition

The last month has been really productive. I’ve sorted out all of the products which are close to finishing and I’ve been almost exclusively using them for the last month. Some products still aren’t finished, but many are.

FINISHED! May Edition

Although I haven’t planned it, I’ve decided to make this FINISHED! posts a monthly feature. At least this way I won’t feel so much like a hoarder. Plus, I’m becoming obsessed with minimalism, so it will feel good to spend some things without bringing in new things.

The products I have finished in May are:

Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Chance. The formula is good and maybe in some far future I’ll purchase one (currently I have too much lipsticks), but I’ won’t get this colour. It doesn’t look so good on my complexion.

Dior Dior Waterproof Khol in Noir Trinidad. It has taken me several years (I think 3 or 4), but I have finaly spent an eye pencil. I love it and I’ll definitely repurchase.

Bioderma Photoderm AKN Mat SPF30 sunscreen sample. I have spent the sample and I’m already using the full-size.

Sisley Instant Perfect sample. I have spent the sample and I like it very much. I have already purchased the full-size, but first I have to spend YSL primer.

Sisley Express Flower Gel GWP. I love it and I have several GWPs in backup. I don’t even want to imagine the day I’ll spend it all and have to purchase the full-size.

48 Protective Hand Cream. I’m not so happy about this. I liked it during winter, because the cream creates some sort of a coat on the skin, so the skin is protected from environmental influence, but it doesn’t moisturizer.

L’Occitane Shea Butter Body Cream. Love it and I’ll get the full size

I believe that’s all. 7 products – not so bad. I have several more items that I’ll spend during the next month or two – one of which is a foundation – yay! I also hope to spend several more lipsticks and/or lipglosses.

I’m considering adding a FINISHED box in my make-up storage in which I’d put the packaging of all the items I have finished during the current month, so that in the end I can be sure that all the items are accounted for.

Did you finish any cosmetic product?

BIODERMA Photoderm AKN SPF30 Sunscreen Review

Words cannot describe how happy I am that I have found this.

I’ve been looking for a very long time for a good sunscreen that I can put under make-up. I can wear literally everything for beach or when I’m out just doing sports, but I need something matte and non-sticky underneath my make-up. The closest to the ideal so far was Chanel UV essentiel, but its smell is way to disgusting, so I never purchased the full size, plus it was too expensive, since 30ml would lasted me for less than a month.

After trying a small sample, I was hooked and recently I have purchased the full size. Bioderma Photoderm AKN SPF30 comes in a 40ml tube and in my country it retails for about $17. It is intended for oily skin.

The consistency is relatively thick and this certainly is not one of those products where a little goes a long way. This is actually good for sunscreen as you need to use approximately 1,4 ml of product to get the protection stated on the box.

Upon application, it feels very thick and sticky, but just wait for a couple of minutes – it immediately transforms to a lightweight matte texture and it stays matte for the whole day.

I have oily, but dehydrated skin and it hasn’t made my skin any shinier, nor it dehydrated it.

The make-up goes like a dream over it – I do not need a primer at all. The sunscreen doesn’t rub off when you are blending your foundation.

As far as I can see it leaves no whiteish cast.

It hasn’t clogged my skin and so far (2 weeks of using it) there are no breakouts.

This is truly like a dream coming true. It is (relatively) cheap, matte and with decent sun protection. As far as I know, Bioderma sunscreens have very high amount of UVA protetction. I only wish that they would made SPF50 version of this.

This is the last one (at least until my birthday), I promise. Bioderma exfoliator was a necessity, Sisley eyeshadow my long-time wish, but the rest is purely impulse purchase (I hope I won’t regret it).

I’ve bought way too much stuff and spent too much, but thankfully Sisley GWP makes it less painful.

So, first the skincare.

As I have mentioned, Bioderma Sebium Exfoliating Purifying Gel was a necessity as I have spent my Sisley Crème Gommante and I have found myself without an exfoliator.

However there was a Bioderma promo at the pharmacy and the SA turned my attention towards Bioderma Purifying Correcting Care which came with a free Bioderma Sebium H2O Micelle Solution (value $13. I also got a samples of Bioderma Pore Refiner, Bioderma Sebium Hydra Moisturizing Cream, Bioderma Sebium Serum and Bioderma Photoderm AKN spf 30 sunscreen.

I can’t wait to try the products. From my experience so far, Bioderma is an excellent skincare line and I wonder why haven’t I tried it before.

Now onto the make-up (and a bit of skincare).

Sisley had a GWP promo and since I’ve been lemming Sisley Phyto Ombre Eclat Eyeshadow #17 Stardust for ages, this was chance to finally get it.

The GWP was a mini set for oily skin:

Cleansing Milk with Sage (30ml) – I love it.

Grapefruit Toning Lotion (30ml)

Radiant Glow Express Mask (15ml) – wanted to try it for ages.

Hydra Global Cream (10ml)

Tropical Resins Complex (4ml) – I already have the full-size, but the sample will be good for travelling.

Phyto Teint Eclat foundation #3 (2ml) – too dark, but I will use it during summer.

I have wanted to get Sisley lipstick, but there weren’t any in stock, so I’ve browsed other counters and found Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Couture in #17. It was impulse, but I’m in love with that shade.

While I was at YSL counter, I have also tried the new Rouge Pur Couture Laque and I’m disappointed. My disappointment mainly stems from the fact that, based on the packaging, I have expected them to be YSL’s version of Chanel Rouge Allure Laque – that is a liquid pigmented lipstick which has glossy finish. Unfortunately, YSL can be described as a lip tint. The colours are gorgeous, but they are very sheer. However, they are very longlasting – I had to wash my hands several time with the soap to completely remove the stains.

I have also tested Clarins Gloss Prodige – it is very pigmented, but what puts me off is extremely strong fruity scent.

Anyway, I hope that I have satisfied my shopping impulses for a while.

Thank you for reading.

BIODERMA Sensibio Eye Cream Review

As I was finishing Avene Eye Contour cream, I have started to look for something new. I grabbed Bioderma Sensibio without giving it too much thought – somehow I’m not sure whether I want a highly moisturizing cream or an anti ageing cream.

I’ve been using Bioderma for 2 months so far.

The cream comes in a 15ml plastic tube and it retails for around $12. The cream is scentless.

The cream doesn’t make any fancy promises, there aren’t any exotic ingredients – just a plain cream.

The cream is soothing and slightly moisturizing, but I still have to use it twice per day.

The texture is very light, gel-like. You only need a tiny amount (the size of a rice) as it spreads easily. It sinks in almost immediately, so this might be a good choice if you are looking for a cream that you’ll put on in the morning before applying make-up.

I haven’t experience any negative effects – I’m wearing contacts and the cream hasn’t irritated my eyes.

I’d recommend this cream to young girls who have no issues with eye-contour skin, but they would like to use something. I sometimes feel that I could benefit of a more moisturizing textre. As I’ve mentioned before, it might be a good under-make-up cream, too.
