CATRICE – Impressions of the new product + Project 10 Pans Reward Haul
April 21, 2011 2 Comments
I have finally decided to award myself for managing to spend eight items from my Project 10 Pans.
Since the new Catrice make-up has finally arrived in the stores, I’ve got myself two nailpolishes: #460 In the Bronx (golden) and #490 Iron Mermaiden (purple-gray). I think that the latter will be the absolute hit.
They have also launched a lot of other fabulous shades, but these two have caught my eye first. The nailpolish now costs 19,90 kunas.
This is the swatch of Iron Mermaiden. I’m sorry, but it is very messy, since I wanted to swatch it as soon as possible, and the nailpolish hadn’t even dried yet. I’ll provide better swatches tomorrow.
DISCLAIMER: Only the nailpolish pictures are mine. Other pictures are borrowed from CATRICE.
I’ve also tested the rest of the new items at the counter and I have to say I’m really impressed. So, in this post I’ll also share my impressions of the collection.
First, they now have the eyeshadows quads (Absolute Eyecolour Quattro), which are absolutely huge ( the price is cca 39 kunas, if I recall well). If the testers are true to the original, these eyeshadows are amazingly pigmented.
There are also two new lipsticks: Ultimate Colour and Ultimate Shine (price is around 30 kunas). Both are absolutely amazing: Ultimate Shine is shimmery and slightly less pigmented than Ultimate Colour, but both seem very moisturizing.
Their new blush is available in four shades: two pink and two peachy (price is also cca 30 kunas). The blush is amazingly pigmented, but it contains shimmer (there is not a lot of shimmer, but the particles are really big and obvious).
There are two new foundations that have caught my eye: Infinite Matt (price: 49,90 kunas) and Photo Finish Liquid foundation. Pale girls that want a lot of coverage will finally get an affordable foundation: Infinite Matt has an amazing yellow-toned light shade, and when I swatched it, it seemed like a full-coverage foundation. I’m planning to get it to really test it.
The only product I didn’t like is Ultimate Nudes nailpolish, simply because the shades weren’t really eye-catching.
Overall, I think that Catrice has really outdone themselves. The new products are absolutely a must have. I really think I’m going to bankrupt, because there is so many stuff that I want.
Anyway, I’m really glad that I can get a high-end quality products for a drugstore price.
