CHANEL Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss Swatch and Review

GENERAL INFORMATION:

Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss is described as „the next generation of lipgloss—with color so rich and shine so intense, it could only be inspired by the iconic lipstick, ROUGE ALLURE. „

„Bold color combines with the smoothest, silkiest gel texture for luxurious wear and deeply dramatic effect. Lips feel comfortable—never sticky or tacky—and look luminous, full, and sensuous for hours.“

MY EXPERIENCE:

Ever since I saw promo-photos of this new lipgloss collection, I’ve been dying to see them in real. Since they are a part of Rouge Allure collection, I’ve expected them to be an improved and glossier version of Rouge Allure Laque. I’ve expected a glossy and light texture with a decent staying power. However, while Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss aren’t bad lipglosses, I’ve been severely disappointed.

The color range is wonderful and all the shades offer an excellent pigmentation. I like absolutely every colour in the range. Also, this is probably the longest wearing lipgloss ever. Because of its texture, once you put it on, it won’t budge for at least 5-6 hours.

The glosses are not drying, but they contain a light fragrance.

The texture is not sticky, but it is very uncomfortable on the lips. Just imagine the consistency of the Aqualumiere gloss, but thousand times heavier. Even if I put a tiny amount of lipgloss, it still feels heavy on the lips and I prefer a lighter consistency.

While I prefer the Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss for its colour range, when I take into consideration all aspects of a lipgloss, I’d rather pick Guerlain Kiss Kiss Essence de Gloss for it has left a much better impression .
